 Another big concern is whether my kids, who grew up in the city, would adjust to life in a more rural setting. Provincial homes are undeniably more affordable, but the lifestyle shift is something we really have to think about.

 Balancing location, convenience, sustainability, and family needs is proving to be more challenging than I expected. But I’m hopeful that with some time and patience, we’ll find a place that feels just right for us.
