Diaper Talk

Let's talk about one of the basic baby needs: diapers! For overnight diapers, we know that Mamy Poko is number one in the list. This is the diaper I used for my son when he was 2 years old onwards and it really worked wonders - not only was it very absorbent, but it's very soft, too. The only downside is its expensive price.

Number two for me is Huggies Dry Comfort. It's also absorbent, but not as soft as Mamy Poko. And again, the price is a bit high for me.

Now with my second child, I'm very tight with my budget so I have to find cheap diapers that really works overnights.  Thanks to my sister-in-law, Brenda, she recommended Sweet Baby diaper and even gave me some for my baby to try.

It only costs Php24.50 for 4 pads. It's cheaper than EQ Dry.

My baby didn't get diaper rashes after using it so so far so good. :)

I definitely recommend this. My baby tried it and it's what she use every night since! So far, no leaks! It definitely works. It's very affordable, too! I saw this in stock at Puregold and in a local grocery mart, but I don't know if it's available in other supermarkets.

So overnight diapers, check! What about for every day use? The cheapest and the best diaper I could find for every day use for my daughter is a generic pull-up diaper. It doesn't even have a name.

I buy this in a pack of 30's for Php275 (Large) from the diaper store.

It's cottony soft and has wetness indicator. The wetness indicator turns blue when it's already wet.

This is the purpose of the tape at the back. After using the diaper, you roll it and then pull out the tape to hold its rolling position. Do this before throwing it out . :)
It's a pull-up diaper so when she wears it, it's like wearing a panty.
Best thing about this diaper is my 1-year-old can move freely because it's also quite soft and very absorbent.
What she usually experience from other diapers is the tape cuts her skin when she walks and the diaper usually gets bulky/heavy after 1 or 2 wiwis together with her walking. This pull up diaper doesn't get too bulky. I also use this as an overnight diaper when I don't have Sweet Baby in stock. It also works wonders.

Unfortunately, it's not available in supermarkets or grocery stores. You can only buy this at diaper stores. You can try browsing at Sulit.com.ph and look for diaper suppliers near your area then ask them if they have pull-up diapers in stock.  In my case, I buy this at Big, Little Tushies Diaper Store located at #53 President's Avenue, BF Homes, Paranaque (near Unionbank).
