Latex Gloves Help Protect the Skin of Your Hands

Many people have sensitive skin specially in their hands. I personally have sensitive hands which is why I have lotions ready.  This is usually caused by exposure to different chemicals when doing housework: dishwashing liquids and other cleaning agents can cause this. This is why you should always use Latex Gloves when you are handling such chemicals - you can avoid getting sensitive skin by protecting yourself.

Swimwear for All Women Sizes

Photo from Unsplash

Whenever I look for swimwears online, I always find a hard time looking for a nice swimsuit that fits my body shape. Most of the time, I see plus size swim suits that fit me, but the design is just not the one I like. But since it fits, I would just wear it.

Home Improvement Can Help Affect Mental Health

Doing some home improvements is no longer a strange task for us ever since the pandemic began. The lockdowns have kept us grounded in our houses and we began to notice the things or areas that our household needs improvement. There are also times that I personally do see what needs to change, but because I don’t have enough budget to do any changes, I just let it go and tried to brush it off my mind. If I don’t try to forget it, the thought would bother me, and it feels irritating

From Nationwide to Global: Tips for Entrepreneurs Dreaming Big

Entrepreneurs from countries with high economic growth are in a unique position to expand internationally, mostly because most of them are deeply ingrained in global markets. If you're an SME owner who's thinking of going global, you already have your foot in the door. Here are four tips to help you move forward:

Learn International Business Laws and Regulations

Managing a business locally is vastly different from doing so overseas. Apart from differences in cultural customs and trends, you'll also have to learn international business laws. And these are extensive — from labour and employment laws to international trade compliance, finance compliance like the SOX compliance in the US, and even intellectual property rights. You'll need to read up on these regulations to ensure that your business is wholly compliant and avoid legal issues in the future. Alternatively, you can enlist the services of an international business lawyer to serve as your guide and consultant in navigating foreign legalities, which I personally would recommend given that you have the budget for it.

Use the Right Digital Tools

You should also take note of the tools that you can use to improve your performance in international markets. A more advanced digital tool is blockchain technology. It's a decentralised and distributed public ledger that is used to record unalterable transactions. Using this technology, entrepreneurs can create an accurate and fully public record of the business's transactions, be it with their suppliers or clients. One way to take advantage of the blockchain is to use it to prove the sustainability of supply chain transactions. This assures potential clients that they're buying from an ethical source. Using technology that promotes ethical business values is now more important than ever, especially since the European Commission's SME Strategy highlights the need for a sustainable and digital Europe.

Create a Country-specific Marketing Strategy

When selling your products and services overseas, you need to be aware of local marketing trends. In this regard, you need to think glocally. According to Supply Chain Digital Magazine, glocalisation entails businesses operating on a global scale, while paying attention to local markets. This shift was spurred on by the fact that disregarding local market trends has proven detrimental to business. Moreover, it allows for the purchase of raw materials from local suppliers, which is not only cost-effective, but also more sustainable in the long run.

If you want your global business to succeed, don't neglect the local context. These differ from country to country and are even more nuanced depending on cities and neighbourhoods. So, to reach your target market, invest in a thorough marketing strategy that will engage them.

Take the Time to Learn their Language

Being a fluent English speaker aids in business transactions and negotiations with potential partners. However, it's also very much worth learning the local language. I've seen plenty of movies about business transactions with Japanese people and so the Americans do their best to learn even the basic Japanese language and Japanese culture to show respect and sincerity.  Language barriers are one of the biggest challenges of expanding internationally. Though English is the primary language for business, that doesn't necessarily mean your target market will respond well to it. Make an effort to learn the basic phrases of the country you're doing business in, and hire translators or even locals who can aid in effective communication.

Financial Trouble? Here Are Steps To Help You To Pay Off Your Debt

“I am in deep financial trouble. I don’t know how to pay off my debt!” This is what I hear from other people nowadays especially from those who lost their jobs from the pandemic. Even if they receive allowances from the government, it’s still not enough for others to pay off thousands of dollars worth of credit card debt.

Things We Consider When Renting

Thinking of relocating? Do you prefer buying a house or renting one? That’s actually one of the questions my husband and I talk about when we plan on moving out. We’re currently live in my mom’s house and I think it’s a good idea to stay with our loved ones during the pandemic so we could support each other and provide each other’s needs. We just have to be really careful not to get infected and so far so good.

Women Empowerment: Are We Really Empowered?

Gender equality is being practiced nowadays or at least being enforced in developed and developing countries which I believe is an awesome progress in our society. But based on data, it seems we have a long way to go before women can catch up when it comes to education, opportunities, or even salaries. Let’s take a look at some of the “inequalities” among men and women.

Podcasting For Beginners

Podcasts has been around over the last 5 years and there’s no sign of stopping it. I remember watching one podcast a few years ago and it was about how to introduce your services to clients. I think he was a motivational speaker and he showed me steps on what to do on how to get more clients.  A few years later, I see a lot of people doing the same thing he does so I believe watching podcasts are really a thing now.

Things I Miss From Working in an Office

I remember working in an office almost 17 years ago and the feeling was great. I felt like I’m an official adult – graduated with a diploma, single, and working in an office. It was amazing at first because now I can get a credit card of my own, which at the time was “proof” that I belong to the working class.

The Effects Of Music to People

Music has been a huge influence to people of all ages even before the pandemic began. People including me listen to music during commute, while passing time, during baths, or even before going to sleep. I believe during the COVID-19 lockdown, even more people are into listening to music. I can even see it with my own son who's 13 years old who always listen to his favorite Spotify music list.

Benefits of Living in a Condo

Choosing the Best Work From Home Look

With this pandemic, life as we all knew it came to a screeching halt, and many of us found ourselves working from home suddenly. No longer needing to get up early and get hair and makeup done, you have more time to sleep in, and you don’t necessarily have to dress up as much as you would have in the past if you were still going in to your office. However, for some work from home employees, they have had to dress up even more as they are now interfacing with different clients on Zoom and other virtual meetings that they may not have had before. Check out some ways to choose the best work from home look based on your career.

The Tech Industry

If you work in the tech industry, odds are you probably had a casual dress code at your office. Jeans were likely acceptable, and while guys may wear shorts and flip flops, women still tended to dress up a bit more in a nice blouse, maybe even a dress when the weather was warm. You may not want to break into your dresses, but there’s no reason you can’t be cute and comfortable while you are working from home. A great option for those who work from home and don’t have to be seen by others is a comfy shirt and pants, either joggers, jeans or shorts, depending on the weather. When you choose an outfit like this, you are comfortable, but you are also very capable of heading out for a quick grocery run when you are off the clock.

Shapewear and Its Uses

Wearing shapewear has been a practice long before. I know because I see my mom use this back in the 80s or maybe it even started longer than that. After seeing Netflix’s Bridgerton, I think shapewear started with corsets and evolved from there. Women’s desire to have a good body shape hasn’t really disappeared all these years and what’s good is that shapewears have been changed for the better; better material, better comfort, better use.

Where to Find Virtual Art Tours

We’re still living in a world where COVID-19 pandemic still exists. That means we’re still staying at our homes and to be honest, I’m feeling a little down lately or probably stressed for the past months already because of the pandemic. That’s why once in a while, I check some art works that are for sale online even if they’re just stickers or posters. Art is an essential part of our culture because it allows us to have a deeper understanding of our emotions; it increases our self-awareness, and also allows us to be open to new ideas and experiences.

How To Receive, Open and Clean Packages During Corona Virus Pandemic

Sending items door to door seem to be part of my new normal nowadays. In a week, I’d be sending a document or two to someone for work or for my kids’ school. At the same time, I buy packages online from Shopee or Lazada almost twice or even thrice as much compared before the pandemic so I always receive parcels twice or thrice a week.
