Exercises That Help Remove Belly Fat

The holidays are over and we keep blaming it for our sudden increase of body fats even though we have already incurred these fats in the previous years (haha). Well, you’re not the only one. No matter where our fats came from, one thought always lingers and that is how to remove them – especially belly fat! I have had my belly fat since I was young , but after giving birth twice and working at home for years, my belly increased its size.

How Do We Get Belly Fat

Before we go the exercises, let’s learn how do we actually incur belly fat. According to Webmd.com, we get belly fat from the following :

  • Eating Too much.
  • Getting old
  • Genes
  • Not Enough Exercise

I am already 40 years old and I think I got everything in the list checked, but that doesn’t mean I have to let it be. I believe I can still do something about it especially when I read that belly fat is a problem since it’s visceral fat that surrounds our organs and raises our risk for heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.

Exercises That Help Get Rid of Belly Fat

Some cardio of aerobic exercises are good for belly fat and they include the following:

  • Walking at a quick pace
  • Running
  • Biking
  • Rowing
  • Swimming
  • Cycling

They say when choosing a cardio activity, choose the one that you enjoy doing. I personally love cycling and swimming, but since I don’t have a bicycle now and swimming pools are inaccessible, I’m stuck with walking or running on our treadmill that I hate because of its small size and it doesn’t have handles. I guess it’s better than doing nothing. But regardless what workout I do, wearing sportswear really gets me in the mood to exercise. Even just simple leggings and fitted top from bombshell sportswear for women, it feels like I’m already in the gym.

Simple Exercises You Can Do At Home to Remove Belly Fat

  1. Crunches
  2. Walking
  3. Zumba
  4. Vertical Leg exercises
  5. Cycling
  6. Aerobics

Crunches never disappear from the list of exercises to remove belly fat and I believe we already know this since our Physical Education teachers insist on doing crunches during warm up exercises. I also believe we already know that cardio exercises like walking and cycling could do wonders for our body. I just think the most difficult thing to get rid of from our lifestyle is laziness. I admit I am lazy because instead of working out, I prefer sleeping. Instead of working out that 10 to 20 minutes, I prefer drinking coffee while watching TV.

So for 2022, I’ll try to lessen my laziness and perhaps while watching TV, I’ll do the leg exercises. Small steps towards big goals of removing belly fat.
